Burton Alert
Burton Village Emergency Notification System (not the same as Geauga Alerts!)
Burton Village’s new emergency notification system, Burton Alert, enables you to receive, at no extra charge*, informational messages from the Village in the event of an emergency. The information sent through Burton Alert is intended to help keep you informed should the Village experience a significant event such as a water main break, boil alert, public health emergency, weather emergency, etc. Messages may cover such subjects as safety alerts and directions on what to do; the location of a shelter; evacuation orders; debris removal information; and the Village’s response to an emergency. You can receive either a phone call or text message to a designated number, AND an email.
Sign up forms will be included in the August/September newsletter as well as in the August water bills. Forms will also be available in the Village Office soon. Plans are for the new system to be live on October 2, 2017.
You can apply on-line by downloading the Burton Alert Sign Up Form, complete it, and press the "Submit" button on the form.
*Individual text charges may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
